Why Do We Need Your Help
The
financial burden on NICVD has become crippling due to its
open-door policy. The hospital offers all kinds of treatment
to the general public at very nominal charges. In the out-patient
department, for example, patients get to see a doctor, receive
basic medical treatment and an ECG for a sum of Rs.10/- Obviously,
these charges cannot cover the real cost of treatment.
As
a result, this special hospital is now facing immense problems
due to lack of funding from both private and government sectors.
Similarly,
NICVD is facing critical problems pertaining to basic and
modern equipment. Most of the equipment currently in use has
already become obsolete-requiring either up-gradation or replacement.
Other facilities, including the building, also need immediate
renovation and up-gradation. To meet this challenge, the
Cardiovascular Foundation seeks the help of friends and supporters!
